"I hope to find a way to make a human map,
so that the developing towns will not
disappear without a trace."

In our minds, Old Klang Road has always been a traffic laden road, cramped with continuous highrise and new developments erected from both sides. We can’t help but wonder what is left of the living memories of the ‘old’ klang road.

We meandered through the buzzing streets to the last ‘papan village’ standing; a village on the outermost skirt of the city flanked by highrises. As we walk through this village, almost by magic we came upon the kept ‘secret’ Klang river, hidden from general plain sight and perhaps left to the unknown.

Whereas, Old Klang Road is an on-going collaborative cultural mapping project to document Old Klang Road (OKR). We are taking a cross-disciplinary approach in the archiving process. Improvising from time to time, we allow flexibility in the documentation and presentation method, depending on the strength and interest of each participant and artist.

The outcome can range from visual arts, writing, photography, videography, performance arts, oral history, sculpture, physical model and other art forms.

"xxxxxx."

In the process of community collection and recording, we explore different ways of creation and presentation, such as visual art, text, video, sound, performance art, oral history, models, etc., to record, feel and Appreciate the everyday life.

We collect enough materials and stories, record this place from different angles, and publish these works on our exclusive webpage and community newspaper. In addition, I also hope to find a way to make a human map, so that the developing towns will not disappear without a trace.
