This workshop aim to document one of Malaysia’s oldest functioning wet market which was built in the 1880s, Old Pasar Taiping.
We invite VERNADOC Malaysia to document with their methodology for vernacular architecture study that emphasises the collecting of data and information on site by basic techniques to produce high quality measured drawings
28 Vernadoc Taiping drawing has been produced as part of archival contributed to Taiping Heritage Society, months prior the conservative renovation effort by Majlis Pebandaran Taiping to Pasar Taiping.

VERNADOC Malaysia 3rd international vernacular architecture documentation camp are participated by 24 SABE UCSI students , local and International Vernadoc instructor from Vernadoc Malaysia : Mr Ng Khoon Woo and Dr. Nattaneeporn Noisangiam from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.
Students are expose to traditional measured drawings procedure and intensive manual draughting and rendering method, while learning about community lifestyle, collective memory and architectural conservation. The knowledge of whole shall give student an insight of how built environment and architecture significantly affecting well-being of the local community.
