Micro Park
Our second attempt in park potential, and with collaboration with Epic Communities, we took on a pilot design of a micro urban park. With limited space , and multiplied demography of community, we requires better park ideas to equip the park with potential of multipied diversity of programme.
With 6 modules of park facilities, with each module facility to equip with it's own specialty and function, a multiplied of programme would be able to be hosted through the spatial arrangement with these modules.
PJ6 Micro Park is a collaboration with PERBADANAN PERPUSTAKAAN AWAM SELANGOR, it includes a dedicated children’s section, reading area, WiFi connectivity, a community garden for urban farming, a recycle and upcycle centre and an outdoor badminton court.
The list of 5 main programme is a shortlist selection from community engagement and interview conduct by Epic Communities prior the setting of brief, research and analysing the need of community members from different age and gender demography. Main challenge first to contain all diverse programme into a triangulated layout where at the same time sizes are merely suffice, and secondly is to adapt the testing and changeability of how the community would utilize the park, commitment of community member in running such programmes, therefore it's important to keep it's flexibility on changing programme to keep the park alive.
01 Outdoor Workshop

allows variety of outdoor workshop to be conducted, conjunction with some art & craft workshop or any other activities that results in more noises.

Mixed court with seating allow practice and play of various sports. with proper court size setting, this encourage sports competition between community blocks
02 Outdoor Theatre

caters for screening night , amphitheatre stage performance or speech/outdoor conference
04 Community Farm
MODULE 4 FARMING TOOL STORAGE + SORTING TABLET + allocated edible plantina zone & fruit trees zone
Community farm spread into two zone, edible vegetable zone & fruit tree zone, based on the method of planting, with the right allocation of water source and irrigation system. Sorting table & tool storage, with a covered budding area for planting process and activities to held.
05 Recycle Station
RECYCLE + UPCYCLE STATION
A station with table top for activities like upcycle workshop & second hand market. Recycle : Plastic, Tin, Paper, Glass, Electronics, Toys and Clothes
